REMIC B5201 LB/WL Viola – Live mic. for wireless systems
Due to the fact that most wireless beltpack transmitters do not provide 48 volt of phantom power nor a balanced input stage, a series of REMIC MICROPHONES have been designed to support selected wireless systems with unbalanced input circuits and a BIAS voltage of 3 to 8 volt.
The B5201 LB/WL Wireless is based on the same principle as the B5201 LB, and can be ordered with different connectors for selected wireless transmitters to obtain the highest sound quality as well as high flexibility in order to move around on the stage in extremely loud live productions.
The REMIC wireless solutions are developed to fit selected wireless systems from Shure and Sennheiser.
In order to choose the correct connector, you need to select the connector needed for a particular wireless transmitter, please see supported wireless solutions below:
SUPPORTED WIRELESS TRANSMITTERS:
SHURE w/TA4F Connector | FP1, GLXD1, QLXD1, PG1, PGX1, PGXD1, SLX1, UC1, ULX1, ULXD1, UR1, UR1M
SHURE w/3P LEMO Connector | UR1M
SENNHEISER w/3.5 TRS Connector | SK100G3/G4, SK300G3/G4, SK500G3/G4
SENNHEISER w/LEMO-3 Connector | SK2000, SK3063, SK5012, SK5212II, SK6000, SK9000
Please note that some dynamic non-linearities will occur when using wireless systems in comparison to a wired solution.
MORE ABOUT THE B5201 LB/WL MODEL:
The B5201 LB/WL microphone model is the same as the normal B5201 LB model only with a different connector.
Instrument specific condenser microphone for all modern Bratsch/viola instruments.
This model is designed for “extreme loud” live performances, such as folk-rock, pop, rock and metal.
Astonishing high gain before feedback.
Extreme suppression of neighbor instruments and ambient noise.
Please note that the sound response of the “LB” models are more “dry” and “woodish” in comparison to the “Studio/Live” models, due to their high ambient suppression factor, but can easily be EQed for best results.
- BEST FEEDBACK SUPPRESSION
- BEST SOUND QUALITY
- BEST INNOVATIVE MOUNT

MORE ABOUT THE B5201 LB/WL MODEL:
The B5201 LB/WL microphone model is the same as the normal B5201 LB model only with a different connector.
The B5201 LB/WL is designed for extreme loud live productions and delivers a natural, but more “dry” and “woodish” sound response in comparison to the “Studio/Live” model.
The “LB” model represents the highest suppression of ambiente sound-sources ever achieved by a condenser microphone.
So if you need a microphone with low acoustic feedback response, the B5201 LB/WL is the answer.
At the same time the microphone will maintain the aesthetic appearance of the instrument towards your audience, since there is no clamps and clips in order to mount and hold the microphone, you also retain a full and undisturbed view of the fretboard.
The B 5201 LB/WL series fits on all modern bratsch/viola, while the V5200 LB/WL series for violin/viola fits well on all baroque style viola instruments.
