3532-SP STEREO KIT WITH 4041-SP LARGE DIAPHRAGM OMNIDIRECTIONAL MICROPHONES, P48
The d:dicate™ 3532-SP is a complete state-of-the-art A-B Stereo Kit with two d:dicate™ 4041-SP Microphones. They are carefully matched within ±0.5 dB on both frequency response and sensitivity in the entire frequency bandwidth.
This A-B stereo kit is the ultimate choice for the demanding engineer and audio purist who emphasizes clarity, openness, precision, low self-noise and high sensitivity.
The kit is designed for a broad range of uses; for classical, jazz and folk genres, grand pianos, guitars, overheads or close-miking drums, choirs, strings, wind instruments and much more.
You get a bright and transparent sound quality with lots of headroom. With its soft boost, which is present on-axis, and gradually goes towards linearity off-axis, these omnidirectional microphones can be angled to use as a natural equalizer. These mics are a part of the d:dicate™ Recording Microphones Series.
The microphone capsule
The diaphragm and housing are both made from stainless steel. This gives the capsule a unique immunity against ambient temperature variations. The precision-made back plate is placed in a quartz insulator for maximum electrical stability. This gives the MMC4041 Large Diagram Capsule a unique sensitivity of up to 90 mV/Pa.
The 4041-SP has a frequency response from 10 Hz to 20 kHz with a 4-6 dB soft boost around 8 kHz. Furthermore, the MMC4041 Large Diaphragm Capsule has extremely low self-noise of 7 dB(A) with the MMP4000-S. It also has enhanced SPL handling capability of up to 144 dB SPL before clipping occurs.
The MMC4041 Large Diaphragm Microphone Capsule can be unscrewed from the MMP4000-SP preamplifier, which allows you to exchange the preamplifier.
Features
The product offers the following features
